Busuu: Language Learning App Reviews

An amazing app

I thought this was just gonna be another one of those apps that have a few phrases and then ask you if you want to pay $60 a month to barely learn a language. No, not at all, the phrases are split by categories..first you learn how to greet people, how to ask people about themselves, how to tell them about you, etc etc etc, its highly addicting too, it gives you quizzes at the end of each lesson to reassure that you know what youre doing. I am a US Marine stationed in Iwakuni, Japan right now, and this app is already making me feel comfortable with going out and talking to locals.

Best app

Very very very good app for learning languages I Advise everyone to download it

THANK U BUSUU!!!!

Thanks to busuu, I can learn my favorite language, Japanese!!!!

Excellent

Teaches vocabulary in context

Honestly

I have tried many language learning, apps but this one is far better. If I have to improve anything would be voice recognition for speech training, but still for me it is the best out there

Worth Your Time

I rarely do reviews as I often cant be bothered. BUT this app was so good (and Im only using the free version) that when they asked for a review, I came here. You wanna know why its so good? IT HAS JAPANESE!!! I couldnt find JAPANESE on the other similar apps. I will say that the Japanese seems a little advanced for the beginner stuff. Fine for me, but if I was brand new, it would probably be overwhelming. Anyway: 5-Stars. Get it. 頑張って!

Great App

I have recommended this app to some of my English students because its a great way to improve your English. Im studying French and I love the translated dialogues they have on the ends of many of the units. They use native, non-robotic speakers and speak at a natural pace so you can hear the linking of words. I also enjoy the visuals and how they contextualize all of their wonderful flashcards with sentence examples of the words. I have a few suggestions for improvement. First, they often will throw 3 to 5 complicated rules at you and then have you practice them all at once as if you should have digested all of that info at once. I think they should introduce one rule then have you practice that one and build on that. Also, often there is no audio or translation in many of the activities and I believe thats a big loss to the student. Thats one place where duolingo wins out because they are good about that. Also, Id love more review, so past rules and lessons are woven into the new ones. Also, not a fan of the high pitched ding sound that you cant turn off. Overall very impressed and excited to keep using it.

Great app

Its really great app

Me

Just amazing. It helps a lot learning a new language on many levels.

best

this is best app for language

need review session

They need to have review sessions like duolingo to refresh your memory or youll just keep forgetting what you learnt previously...

5 Stars

Okay, so I just started learning Japanese about half a week ago, and Im already starting to memorize some things! Also, premium is definitely worth it. I definitely recommend this app for anyone who wants to learn a language. Even without premium, itll still get you far!

Good app but doesnt have Swedish

This app has really helped my Spanish classes, but Id love to learn Swedish, as I have relatives there and it would be really cool if I could talk to them!!!!

Good

This is a good app but if your looking for other languages go to duolingo :)
